One aspect of Substack I love is having a higher level of social engagement. It is almost unbelievable that I can share my class and course notes with readers who want or need to learn. It requires engagement, and if you aren’t ready yet, the Start Here tab will wait for you!

Day 10 of the Start Here section provides tools, techniques, and solutions for advancing your personal finance talent. Today’s course notes extend Investments Confuse Me, by looking at how to solve three types of consumer questions,

  1. Saving to buy a home

  2. Paying off a mortgage

  3. Knowing a car payment and the systematic paying off the loan

Day 9 and Day 10 have a simple goal: to make you self-sufficient in calculating a few numbers. If you are a writer, artist, historian, or someone who identifies as a “non-quant,” this week's course notes will raise your financial literacy.

Below, I include a second file: a Q&A assignment that gives you practice.

Need help? My office hours are always open. Direct message me.
