Hello!

I am Robert Puelz, Associate Professor in the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at SMU in Dallas, Texas, and writer of Personal Finance Economics (PFE).

In January 2022, I began PFE to bring the benefits of economic science to household financial decision-making. If you want to learn more about personal finance and want to live at your highest living standard, you are in the right place!

Why should I subscribe?

As a learner and subscriber, you will receive a knowledge base similar to the one I deliver to my students. You will find the writing about ideas and concepts relatable, usually with some story-telling. Whether you are an individual who wants to be more financially literate or the manager of your household finances, you will learn and, hopefully, enjoy the content. Timely personal finance topics and an experiential learning approach you will find thought-provoking. If you want to DIY your finances, you will learn how to effectively make personal finance decisions that consider your relevant financial attributes. Financial questions are nuanced, and your attributes matter—a lot.

Every Tuesday, paid subscribers receive access to the serialized version of Economics-Based Personal Finance.

Beyond the book, a paid subscription gives you access to the complete archive, and every new newsletter edition goes directly to your inbox. Substack has built a wonderful app, too.

If you have questions, please write me.

Personal Finance Economics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, become a paid subscriber.
