Hello!
Personal Finance Economics (PFE) is a newsletter about money, written for DIY households, that helps them achieve their sustainably highest living standard, using the principles of life-cycle economics.
I am Robert Puelz, a faculty member in the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at SMU in Dallas, Texas. I launched PFE in January 2022 with one goal in mind: to help DIYers make their best financial decisions.
Why should I subscribe?
As a subscriber, you’ll gain access to the same knowledge base I share with my students. The content is designed to feel approachable and easy to connect with. The writing mixes ideas, concepts, and storytelling to bring clarity to your everyday financial life.
We’ll cover timely topics in personal finance, always with an emphasis on learning by experience and reflection. If you’re the kind of person who likes to take a DIY approach, you’ll gain tools to make smarter financial decisions that take your unique situation into account. After all, financial questions are rarely one-size-fits-all; your personal circumstances and attributes really do matter.
