Stock market indices rising and falling, then rising a hair and falling farther.

Your retirement plan value rises and falls in short order. Then falls more.

Been flat since the November Presidential election.

What is in your control?

More than you think, with a pinch of your time directed toward your information. Knowledge about the value of your financial asset and knowledge about how you or your household really feel about risk vis-a-vis investments.

I received an interesting email from a subscriber who wanted to link together their “asset allocation,” or mix of stocks, cash, and fixed income investments, with their taste for risk.

My sense is this subscriber is a deep thinker who wants the best living standard outcome. Today, I am turning this comment toward you to answer two questions.
