Heading into the weekend, I’ve attached “Economics-Based Personal Finance: A Core Financial Planning Book” in its very near final form. It is a single PDF with Chapters 1 through 5 of 8. The last three chapters will be coming in installments every Tuesday for the balance of the spring as the content gets a facelift.
We have tried hard to connect the dots from theory to practice. As a prof, it is what I do for a living. The book’s content is state-of-the-art and searchable. CFPs have historically not been trained this way, and you will be on the cutting edge. If you have an advisor, share Personal Finance Economics with them, and they can learn it with me for your benefit.
Next week begins a series on how to use your investments' risk and return attributes to predict future performance.
Is your retirement plan in a particular mutual fund or ETF? Do you have a portfolio of stocks? These are crystal ball-worthy forecasts. Statistics and simulation are involved, and no math degree is required. You have me as your Q&A resource.
For all readers: Here is the Table of Contents.
Free subscribers: If you are ready to join my paid subscribers, you will receive all the benefits and Chapters 1 through 5 below the paywall. Join us! If you cannot pay, send me a note at robert@finplanllc.net, and we can discuss it. I intend to support you.
